Medium-dry lanes call for a smooth, controllable backend reaction. The Storm Tropical Surge Midnight uses a Reactor Solid coverstock and Surge Core for entry-level bowlers looking for a reliable, medium hook ball.

Description

If you bowl on medium-dry oil, this ball gives you a clean skid through the front part of the lane with a controllable read at the breakpoint. It’s not going to overreact on the backend, which makes it a solid choice for entry-level players who want something predictable without losing hook potential. The Tropical Surge Midnight carries well through the pins and offers a smooth, consistent arc.

Under the cover, Storm went with the Reactor Solid coverstock paired with their new Surge symmetric core. The core rolls at a 2.58 RG with a 0.024 differential, which helps the ball maintain a steady midlane skid and a controlled backend flip. The factory finish is a 2000-grit polish, so it’s got enough surface to read the lane but won’t hook too early or too sharply.

This ball fits nicely in the 12 to 16-pound range, so most bowlers can find a comfortable fit. If you’re looking for a solid reactive resin that keeps things simple but effective on medium-dry lanes, this one’s worth a look. It’s straightforward, reliable, and won’t demand too much from your release.

About brand
Shipping and Delivery

Shipping & Returns

We want ordering from Fastlane Bowling Pro Shop to be simple and predictable. The information below outlines how shipping and returns work so you know exactly what to expect before you place an order.

Shipping

Orders are shipped from our shop and supplier partners based on product availability. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout unless otherwise noted. Delivery times may vary depending on product type, availability, and destination. Bowling balls and larger items may ship separately from accessories. If you have questions about shipping timelines before placing an order, contact us and we will help you plan accordingly.

Drilled vs Undrilled Equipment

Most bowling balls are shipped undrilled unless drilling is explicitly selected and confirmed. If drilling options are added in the future, additional processing time may apply. We will always confirm details before completing any drilled order.

Returns

Because bowling equipment is performance-based and often customized, returns are handled carefully.

Unused, undrilled items may be eligible for return within a limited timeframe. Items must be in original condition and packaging.

Customized, drilled, or altered equipment is not eligible for return unless there is a confirmed defect.

Defective or Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective, contact us as soon as possible. Include photos and a brief description so we can resolve the issue quickly.

We will work with you and the manufacturer when applicable to determine the best solution.

Questions Before You Order?

If you are unsure about sizing, compatibility, or whether a product is right for you, contact us before placing your order. We would rather help you choose correctly than deal with returns later.
