Storm Tropical Surge Blk/Blu/Pnk
$1.00
Medium-dry lane conditions call for a smooth, controllable backend reaction. The Storm Tropical Surge uses a Reactor Solid coverstock and Surge Core for a medium hook that works well for entry-level bowlers looking to read the lane without overreacting.
If you’re bowling on medium-dry oil and want a ball that reads the lane smoothly without flipping out at the backend, this one fits the bill. It’s aimed at bowlers who want a predictable arc, especially those just getting comfortable with reactive resin. It carries well through the pins and won’t surprise you with sudden moves.
Under the cover, Storm went with the Reactor Solid coverstock for a steady, reactive feel on these lane conditions. The Surge Core sits at a 2.58 RG with a 0.024 differential, which means a controlled backend with enough continuation to finish strong. The Reacta Gloss finish helps the ball skid through the front part of the lane before making its move.
If you’re newer to the sport or prefer a ball that won’t overreact when the lanes start to dry up, this one deserves a look. It usually comes in a range of weights, so most bowlers can find their fit. It’s not aggressive but offers a nice mix of control and hook that’s easy to manage.
