Plugging and re-drilling allows you to adapt existing equipment instead of starting over. When done correctly, it can extend the life of a ball and make it useful again.
At Fastlane Bowling Pro Shop, we approach plug and re-drill work with the same care as a brand-new drilling. The goal is to make the ball fit and perform the way it should now, not the way it did in the past.
When Plug and
Re-Drill Makes Sense
There are many reasons a ball may need new life:
- Your hand size or grip has changed
- The thumb or fingers no longer feel secure
- The layout no longer matches your release
- The ball was drilled incorrectly the first time
- You want to repurpose a ball for a different role
If the core and cover still fit your game, re-drilling is often the smartest option.
Our Approach
We evaluate the current fit, layout, and overall condition of the ball before recommending any work.
If plugging and re-drilling makes sense, we do it cleanly and precisely so the ball looks right, feels right, and performs consistently. If it does not make sense, we will tell you that as well.
The goal is not to do work for the sake of doing work. The goal is the right outcome.
